Naugatuck Man Charged With Sexual Assault of a Female Juvenile

A Naugatuck man is being held in lieu of a $250,000 bond for the alleged sexual assault of a female juvenile.

Police said Wednesday that Daniel Cabana, 37, of Carroll Street was charged on a warrant Wednesday afternoon with first-degree sexual assault and illegal sexual contact with a victim under the age of 16.

Police say the incident occurred on July 11, and the accused was known to the victim, and its alleged he inappropriately touched her on several occasions.

No other details were released by police.
