Naugatuck Man Held Blank Gun at Stepson, Fired Off a Blank Round: Police

Police say other children were home at the time of the incident.

Naugatuck police say a dispute between a stepfather and stepson escalated to the point where the stepfather allegedly pointed a blank gun in the direction of his stepson and fired off a blank round, while other children were also present.

Police say the incident occurred at 3:52 p.m. on Wednesday at 955 Spring Street on the second floor.

During an argument, Ray Rodriguez, 35, of Spring Street, pointed a blank gun in the direction of the victim and fired a blank round, police said.

He is charged with risk of injury to a child, brandishing a facsimile firearm, second-degree threatening, reckless endangerment, and second-degree breach of peace.

He is held on a $100,000 bond.
