Naugatuck Man Killed In Bridgeport Shooting: Police
The shooting occurred Monday afternoon on William Street in Bridgeport, according to police.

BRIDGEPORT, CT β A Naugatuck man was killed in a fatal shooting Monday afternoon in Bridgeport, according to authorities.
Details of the shooting were not disclosed, but it occurred at about 2:15 p.m. in the 900 block of William Street. Police were alerted to the area by a ShotSpotter activation, and found the victim in a vehicle, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
The victim has been identified as Tyheem Scales, 26, of Naugatuck. He was taken to Bridgeport Hospital, but was pronounced dead upon arrival.

Scott Appleby, Bridgeport's Director of Emergency Management, said in a statement that the investigation is active and ongoing.
"The Bridgeport Police would like to extend their condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Scales," Appleby said.
