Naugatuck Man Leads Officers On Vehicle Chase Before Arrest: PD
The incident occurred Friday on Route 8 near Cross Street.
NAUGATUCK, CT β A 36-year-old Naugatuck man was arrested by police Friday after he led officers on a chase when authorities tried to pull him over on Route 8 North near Cross Street.
Jonathan U. Miller, of Spring Street, was charged with multiple violations in the 5:45 p.m. incident, including engaging police in pursuit; interfering with an officer; third-degree criminal mischief; and illegal operation of a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
"The vehicle failed to stop, engaging police in pursuit, fleeing the area," Naugatuck police said in a statement. "A suspect was quickly developed and approximately 1 hour later, Officers located the vehicle on Crown Street. The accused was the operator of the vehicle in both incidents and was taken into custody."

Miller was held in lieu of bail of $25,000, but a court increased it $50,000, and he remains in custody. His next court date is scheduled for Aug. 18.
