Naugatuck Man Left Scene Of Motor Vehicle Accident: Police

The accused was charged on a warrant and released after posting a $2,500 bond, police said.

NAUGATUCK, CT β€” A Naugatuck man, Michael Chandler, 58, of Rubber Avenue is accused of leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident earlier in 2020, police said.

At 5:29 p.m. on June 23, Chandler was arrested on an active arrest warrant, police said. The accused was arrested due to an evading a motor vehicle accident complaint that occurred on Jan. 18, police said.

He was released on a $2,500 bond and is charged with evading responsibility, second-degree reckless endangerment, third-degree criminal mischief, and second-degree breach of peace.
