Naugatuck Man Makes His Own Snow: Report

No one's a bigger fan of snow than this Naugatuck resident.

NAUGATUCK, CT — It's fair to say that no one loves snow more than Todd Garafano, of 957 New Haven Road. The Naugatuck man built his own home-made snow machine because the snow makes him happy.

The Republican-American reports that Garafano's snowmaker operates like the one's used at ski areas. It can take 16 hours for him to be able to produce a coating of snow. In order for the device to work, temps must be at least a couple of degrees below freezing.

He said he enjoys when people stop by to visit the snow he made. One time, back in 2012, Garafano was visited by the Fire Department when he accidentally left the machine on while he fell asleep and it produced 5 feet of snow at his door, the Rep-Am reports.
