Naugatuck Man Stole Items From Car, Fled On Bike: Police

Police found the accused inside a local bar, police said.

NAUGATUCK, CT β€” A Naugatuck man, Kyle A. Anders-Huculak, 21, of Hoadley Street is accused of stealing items from a car and fleeing the scene on a bicycle, police said. At 11:51 p.m. on Sept. 10, police responded to the 300 block of Scott Street for a larceny from a car complaint.

Police said someone stole items from a motor vehicle and fled the scene on a bicycle. Police said they learned that Anders-Huculak fled to a local bar where they found the bicycle sitting outside.

The officer went into the bar and found the accused who also fit the description given by the victim and the witness, police said. Police said Anders-Huculak had items in his possession that fit the items reported stolen.

After an identification by the witness and search, police said they found more items reported stolen. The accused was taken into custody and is charged with sixth-degree larceny, possession of a controlled substance and use and possession of drug paraphernalia.
