Naugatuck Man Sues over Injuries from Mechanical Bull: Report

A ride on Wild Willy the Bucking Bronco at a Beacon Falls carnival left the man with a broken pelvis, he claims.

NAUGATUCK, CT — Richard Tabaka, of Naugatuck, says he suffered a broken pelvis last summer after riding on the mechanical bull Wild Willy the Bucking Bronco at a Beacon Falls carnival, and now he's suing over his injuries, reports the Waterbury Republican-American.

Tabaka is seeking damages in excess of $15,000 from the Town of Beacon Falls, Beacon Hose Co. No. 1 and the ride's vendor. His lawsuit was filed in Waterbury Superior Court.

According to the lawsuit, the ride and the area surrounding it - which were set up as part of the fundraising carnival - allegedly were not properly outfitted with enough safety equipment.
