Naugatuck Man Walks Up to Vehicle, Punches Victim in the Face: Police

Naugatuck police say the incident occurred in a parking lot of a liquor store and a child was present inside the victim's car.

NAUGATUCK, CT - A local man is accused of walking up to a car in a parking lot and punching the victim right in the face through an open window, police said.

Police say just before 8 p.m. on April 23 officers responded to Bridge Street for an assault.

The victim was sitting in his vehicle with an adult female and a juvenile which was parked in the lot of D&D Liquor, police said.

Matthew Summa, 29, of School Street, walked up to the victim's car and allegedly punched him through an open car window, police said.

Renee Levesque, 31, of School Street, who was with Summa allegedly began to yell profanities as they drove from the lot, police said.

Summa and Levesque were each charged with breach of peace while Summa was also charged with third-degree assault and risk of injury to a child.
