Naugatuck to Mark Veterans Day on Monday

The Naugatuck Veterans Council will honor Veterans Day with several events.

Naugatuck, CT - Naugatuck Veterans’ organizations and local officials will mark Veterans Day on Monday, Nov. 11, 2019 with the annual parade at 2:00pm and two ceremonies in the morning.

The Naugatuck Veterans Council will honor Veterans Day with several events.

On Monday, Veterans Council members will lower a float from the Whittemore Bridge into the Naugatuck River at 10:30 a.m. A wreath laying ceremony will take place at the World War I memorial on the Green at 10:45 a.m., followed by the ringing of the bells at 11 a.m.

The annual Veterans Day parade steps off at 2:00 p.m. from the Ion Bank parking lot, which is located at 87 Church St. The parade route goes up Church Street to the Green, where the annual ceremony will take place.

The public is invited to attend to honor our veterans.
