Naugatuck Motorist Hits, Hospitalizes Pedestrian: Police
She was struck while standing in the middle of I-84, according to reports.
NAUGATUCK, CT β A pedestrian standing in the center lane of Interstate-84 was struck and seriously injured on Sunday morning, the News-Times is reporting.
Tanya Lynn Boroski, 29, of Shelton, was hit by a car being driven by Kelly Budd, 24, of Naugatuck, near exit 8 around 1:30 a.m. Sunday. Budd told police she was following an SUV which suddenly veered leftward and crashed into a guardrail, and saw Boroski standing in the middle of the road too late to avoid her.
The crash closed the right and center lanes until just before 6 a.m., according to a report from the state Department of Transportation. Boroski was taken to Danbury Hospital with life-threatening injuries, the News-Times reported.
