Naugatuck Nurse to Run in Half-Marathon for Charity
Resident Rhonda Lord is raising money for the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America

A borough resident and nurse for the will be running in a half-marathon in June to benefit a national nonprofit organization.
Rhonda Lord will be racing on behalf of Team Challenge Connecticut, which is raising money and awareness for the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America.
The half-marathon, which is 13.2 miles, is scheduled for June 2 in Loudoun, Va. As a fundraising event, all proceeds raised by Team Challenge will directly benefit CCFA in support of it goal to find a cure for these inflammatory bowel diseases.

“My goals are to raise $2900 by May 23rd and finish 13.1 miles on June 2nd. I couldn’t do this without the support of my family, friends, and my coworkers at the Naugatuck VNA,” Lord said.
So far, Lord has received $575 in donations.
