Naugatuck To Open New Walking Trails
Mayor "Pete" Hess announced in his Code Red message today that copies of maps of the trails will be available in the lobby of the town hall.

Today is Friday, April 24 at 5pm. Today's count in Naugatuck is 156. So, the first question I always get asked from people, whenever they hear the number is Pete, where are the cases? Are there any clusters? Should I be worried about any particular part of town?

Now this is a normal and natural question. As I've said before, there is no real clustering of cases in Naugatuck, the cases are spread out throughout the entire town, the only area that could possibly be considered as a cluster is in our nursing homes. The numbers are rising in nursing homes throughout the entire state. Our newest cases are mostly in nursing homes or at locations where there are other infected family members, the risk to the citizens of Naugatuck is the same.
We are still moving in the right direction. We will get through this.

Now, if a drone were flying over Naugatuck looking around seeing where the people are, what they would see is that the people are in the grocery stores and Walmart. When you go shopping, one person per household, be careful follow all the CDC guidelines and rules. When venturing outside, always try to separate yourselves from other people.
We are opening some new trails in Naugatuck. We're opening our mission 22 Trail this weekend. We're opening a new Loop Trail on Nichols Road, and we have more trails that will be coming out next week. Please follow the rules on the trails, and in the grocery stores. We're going to make some copies of the maps available in the lobby of the town hall for the trails. Stop by, pick one up.

Beginning next Monday April 27th – 75 colored copies of each map can be picked up on a first come first serve basis in the lobby of the Town Hall.
