Naugatuck Police Arrest Suspect for Subway Robbery

Subway has been robbed twice in the past week, and police announced an arrest today in one case.

NAUGATUCK, CT - Police announced an arrest in one of the two recent Subway robberies in the Borough.

Police served an arrest warrant Friday morning on Daniel Ellis, 31, in relation to the March 1, New Haven Road Subway store robbery, police said in a news release.

The incident occurred at about 9:30 p.m. and involved the suspect reaching over the customer counter into the cash register and stealing $110 in cash, police said. The suspect then fled on foot from the store.

The accused was identified and an arrest warrant was issued for his arrest, charging him with second-degree larceny and second-degree reckless endangerment.

He was held on a $50,000 bond.
