Naugatuck Police Blotter: Dec. 14

The following information was provided by the public information officer at the Naugatuck Police Department. They are allegations until proven otherwise in a court of law.

ALLEGED HARASSOR CHARGED WITH SKIPPING COURT
Christopher Puffen, 39, 492 Skokorat Road, Beacon Falls, was charged with two counts of first-degree failure to appear, four counts of second-degree failure to appear, five counts of a criminal violation of a protective order and one charge of first-degree harassment after being arrested on multiple warrants on Dec. 14. According to police, Puffen violated a protective order placed on him following an incident on Nov. 20. He was held on a total $240,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Dec. 15.

ALLEGED VULGAR TEXT MESSAGES END IN ARREST
Nicholas Bergeron, 32, 26 Mulberry St., Naugatuck, was charged with second-degree harassment and disorderly conduct on Dec. 14 after being pulled over by police on Woodlawn Avenue. Bergeron is accused of sending vulgar text messages to another person on Sept. 26 and was taken into custody on warrant following the motor vehicle investigation. He was held on a $1,500 surety bond and was scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Dec. 15.
