Naugatuck Police Arrest Log: May 27-May 30

Victor Montero, 47, of High Street in Shelton is charged with illegally operating a motor vehicle while under the influence and interfering with an officer. Police say, "On 05/29/2019 at approximately 2:51 AM the Officer initiated a motor vehicle investigation in the area of 801 Rubber Avenue in the 7-11 parking area. Through the officers investigation the accused was found to be operating under the influence of alcohol, and resisted/interfered with the officer's investigation."


Shelli Chadwick, 51, of Meadow Street in Shelton is charged with conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny and criminal attempt to commit sixth-degree larceny. Police say, "On 05/28/2019 at approximately 4:20 PM Officers were dispatched to Big Y Supermarket located at 85 Bridge Street on a report of a shoplifting from the store. Loss prevention advised that they observed the accused subject concealed items totaling less than $500.00 and exit the store without paying for items."

Terri Peabody, 50, of Martha Street in Seymour is charged with conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit third-degree criminal trespass, and criminal attempt to commit sixth-degree larceny. Police say, "On 05/28/2019 the accused was arrested on an active arrest warrant stemming from a larceny incident that occurred on 12/25/2018 in our town."


Terri Peabody, 50, of Martha Street in Seymour is charged with conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny and criminal attempt to commit sixth-degree larceny. Police say, "On 05/28/2019 at approximately 4:20 PM Officers were dispatched to Big Y Supermarket located at 85 Bridge Street on a report of a shoplifting from the store. Loss prevention advised that they observed the accused subject concealed items totaling less than $500.00 and exit the store without paying for items. The accused was also found in possession of drug paraphernalia."

James Anthony Salemme, 26, of Martha Street in Seymour is charged with criminal attempt at sixth-degree larceny. Police say "On 05/28/2019 at approximately 4:20 PM Officers were dispatched to Big Y Supermarket located at 85 Bridge Street on a report of a shoplifting from the store. Loss prevention advised that they observed the accused subject concealed items totaling less than $500.00 and exit the store without paying for items. The accused was also found in possession of drug paraphernalia." He is also charged with second-degree failure to appear in court.


David T Giambra, 28, of Pine Hill Road in Thomaston is charged with second-degree breach of peace. Police say, "On 05/27/2019 at approx 6:22 PM the Naugatuck PD was dispatched to South Circle and Brookside Avenue on a report of an assault between two adult males. During the investigation, it was determined that the accused assaulted the victim by punching him multiple times. The the accused choked the victim while throwing the victim to the ground."


David Tooth, 32, of Naugatuck is charged with illegally operating a motor vehicle while under the influence. Police say "on 05/27/2019 at approximately 1:10 AM Naugatuck police initiated a motor vehicle investigation on Maple Street and Water Street. During the stop the accused was observed to be operating under the influence of alcohol and /or drugs while traveling unreasonably fast."
