Naugatuck Police Blotter: Sept. 2, 3

Naugatuck Police Blotter:

Quanda S. James, 33, of Highland Avenue in Waterbury is charged with DUI. Police say, "On 9/03/2019 Officers initiated a motor vehicle stop in the area of 620 North Church Street by the Xpress Mart. Through the officer's investigation it was determined that the accused operated a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and or drugs. The accused was also charged with additional motor vehicle charges as shown. The accused was arrested and later released on $500.00 NON-Surety Bond.


Mary Taylor, 43, of Sunburst Road is charged with first-degree violation of conditions of release and disorderly conduct. Police say, "On 09/03/2019 at approximately 5:24 PM Officers responded to a residence on a report of a possible violation of a Conditions of Release. It was discovered through the investigation that the accused was found at the residence of the victim which is in violation of the order. The accused was arrested and held on a $10,000.00 Surety Bond.

Police also said that "On 09/02/2019 at approximately 4:19 AM Officers responded to a residence on a report of a domestic dispute. It was discovered through the investigation that the accused became involved in an argument with the victim that escalated and became physical when, according to the victim, the accused threw items at the victim. The accused was released on a $2,500 bond.
