Naugatuck Police Department Promotes Three Officers

The officers received their badges on Wednesday.

Three police officers in Naugatuck were given promotions, the Republican-American reports.

Steven Hunt, Peter Bosco and Dan Norck received their badges at the pinning ceremony held on Wednesday, the paper reports. Hunt was promoted to the rank of Captain, Bosco was promoted to the rank of lieutenant and Norck was promoted to sergeant.

All three of the officers are well respected and have earned awards and medals for their service.

According to the paper, Hunt joined the Naugatuck Police Department in 2000 and teaches new police recruits throughout the state. Bosco has worked at the department for 18 years, as a field training officer and as a member of the department’s Community Oriented Policing Unit. Norck began working at the department in 2008 serving as a Drug Abuse Resistance Education instructor and is a field training officer and member of the Central Naugatuck Valley Accident Investigation Team.
