Naugatuck Police Investigating After 'Clowns' Mentioned on Social Media: BREAKING

Police stressed that they don't believe the posts are "credible" but there will be extra police presence at all schools Tuesday. BREAKING

NAUGATUCK, CT — The Naugatuck Police Department tonight is investigating non-specific posts that surfaced on social media involving “clowns” mentioning Naugatuck schools specifically, police said late Monday.

Based on their investigation these posts contained information that "we do not believe to be credible, however the Naugatuck police are thoroughly investigating these posts and any persons connected to them," police said in a statement.

The Naugatuck Police has been in communication with the Naugatuck Superintendent of School's Office and the Naugatuck Board of Education regarding these posts, and as a precautionary measure there will be added security and police presence at all Naugatuck schools tomorrow, Tuesday October 4.
