Naugatuck Police Swear In 2 New Recruits

They will begin the police academy later this summer and, upon graduation, be assigned to a field training officer​ in the spring.

NAUGATUCK, CT — The Naugatuck Police Department swore two new recruits into its ranks this week.

In a Facebook post, police said recruits Bruno Franceschi and Matthew Baptiste were sworn in Monday by Mayor Pete Hess.

Franceschi and Baptiste will begin the police academy later this summer and, upon graduation, be assigned to a field training officer in the spring, according to police.

"We wish them luck on their long journey ahead and look forward to introducing them out in the community," police said on Facebook.
