Naugatuck Police: Waterbury Man, 77, Charged With Sexual Assault
Police say the man was working as a volunteer and was supposed to be discussing the victim's medical transportation.
Naugatuck police say Richard Wood, 77, of Avalon Circle in Waterbury, is accused of inappropriately touching a 58-year-old woman against her will.
The victim said the suspect was working as a volunteer for the Western Connecticut Area Agency on Aging and he was at her residence to discuss her medical transportation, when the alleged incident occurred.
He was initially held on a $50,000 bond and is charged with fourth-degree sexual assault.
