Naugatuck Resident Comes Home To Find Intoxicated Stranger Sleeping in Their House

Police said the stranger thought she was in her friend's house.

Naugatuck residents you can’t make this one up!

Police say a Spring Street resident came home Sunday evening to find a stranger sleeping in the victim’s residence.

Police said the stranger, later identified as Marita Watts, 39, of Anderson Street, was intoxicated and entered the victim’s house believing it was her friend’s house.

Police said there was no sign of forced entry. This occurred at 5:10 p.m. as officers responded to 53 Spring Street 3N.

Watts was released after posting $5,000 bond and was charged with third-degree criminal trespass, and disorderly conduct.
