The winning ticket was claimed on Wednesday, according to the Connecticut Lottery.

NAUGATUCK, CT — A Naugatuck resident is $100,000 richer after claiming a winning lottery ticket this week, according to the Connecticut Lottery.

James G. Smith won the prize by playing a "CASH5" game. The winning ticket was purchased from the Metro Food Mart on New Haven Road in Naugatuck.

The game, which costs $1 per wager, carries a grand prize of $100,000. Drawings are held daily at 10:29 p.m.

Its overall odds of matching all five numbers are 1 in 324,632, according to the lottery.
