NAUGATUCK, CT — A Naugatuck resident is $100,000 richer after purchasing a winning lottery ticket in town this week, according to the Connecticut Lottery.
On Aug. 20, Leo Hansen won $100,242 off a Powerball ticket purchased at Gulf Express Market LLC in Naugatuck. The winning Powerball numbers drawn that day were 5 - 9 - 11 - 16 - 66 and Powerball 7, according to lottery officials.
On one board, four of the five numbers Hansen played were a match, plus the Powerball number. He also added Power Play to his ticket, which doubled his original $50,000 prize, lottery officials said.
