Naugatuck Resident Wins $30,000 CT Scratch-Off Lottery Prize

The lucky winner purchased the ticket in Waterbury, according to the Connecticut Lottery.

NAUGATUCK, CT β€” A Naugatuck resident is $30,000 richer this week after recently claiming a winning lottery ticket purchased in Waterbury, the Connecticut Lottery announced.

On Tuesday, Daryl Mckernan claimed a winning "30X CASH 6TH EDITION" ticket purchased at the Getty Mart of Waterbury on Hamilton Avenue.

This edition of the game, which cost $30 per ticket, began in June 2019 and ended in October 2021. Mckernan had until Saturday to claim the prize before the expiration date.

The game ended with two grand prizes of $30,000 still unclaimed as of Tuesday.

More than 1 million game tickets were printed, and the overall odds of winning were 1 in 3.53.
