NAUGATUCK, CT — A Naugatuck resident is $10,000 richer after purchasing a winning lottery scratch-off ticket this week in the borough, according to the Connecticut Lottery. Antonio Tavares claimed the prize last week from a 10X Cash 15th Edition game. He purchased the winning ticket at Stop One Mart on South Main Street. The $10 scratch off game has a grand prize of $10,000, and there are 180 of those top prizes left, according to the lottery. More than 5.2 million tickets were printed, and its overall odds of winning are 1 in 3.95.

APK Charities was established to honor Captain Andrew M. Pedersen‑Keel, a Connecticut Special Forces soldier who was killed in action in Afghanistan on 11 March 2013. The organization focuses on bridging the civilian community with the Armed Forces and providing direct support to military families.
