Naugatuck School Administrators Seek 4.58 Percent Spending Hike
The Board of Education will vote on the proposal at a meeting later this month.

NAUGATUCK, CT — Naugatuck school administrator's have initially proposed a $65 million budget for fiscal 2000-21, which increases spending by $2.8 million or 4.58 percent, My Citizen's News reports.
The Board of Education will vote on the budget request at its March 12 meeting. Driving the budget increase is a 7.45 percent hike in health care costs. Contractual obligations and increases for substitute teachers are also driving the budget increase, My Citizen's News reports.
