Naugatuck Student-Athletes Celebrate College Signing Day
Ten Naugatuck High School seniors recently signed their letters of intent to attend colleges in Connecticut.
NAUGATUCK, CT — A number of Naugatuck High School student-athletes who recently signed letters of intent to attend colleges in Connecticut were celebrated during a "signing day" event at the school Wednesday.
According to the Naugatuck Public Schools Facebook page, the 10 NHS seniors "officially signed their letters of intent to take their academic and athletic pursuits to the collegiate level."
The following students were joined by family, friends and coaches for their official Greyhound Nation Signing Day event, according to the district:

- Kayla Gerhart: Western Connecticut State University, Track & Field
- Tremel Morris: Western Connecticut State University, Track & Field
- Keryn Thomas: Eastern Connecticut State University, Track & Field
- Taryn Thomas: Eastern Connecticut State University, Track & Field
- Joshua Diaz: Eastern Connecticut State University, Track & Field
- Gwen Marenghi: University of Hartford, Cross Country & Track
- Savanna Batista: Quinnipiac University, Cheerleading
- Jeremiah Cruz: Mitchell College, Baseball
- Jayse Danuszar: Post University, Soccer
"Congratulations again to all," the district's post reads. "We cannot wait to continue to cheer all of you on as you take this next step in your athletic and academic journey."
