Naugatuck Swears In New Deputy Fire Marshal

A local firefighter was sworn in as the Naugatuck Fire Department's new deputy fire marshal during a meeting Monday night.​

NAUGATUCK, CT — Firefighter Jason James was sworn in as the Naugatuck Fire Department's new deputy fire marshal during a Fire Commission meeting Monday night.

James came to the department in 2019 after a career with the Greenwich Fire Department for over 20 years, according to the department's Facebook page.

The fire marshal's office consists of a fire marshal and two deputy fire marshals who are responsible for fire code inspections, fire investigations and fire prevention programs, according to the department.
