Naugatuck Takes Steps To Hire Next Police Chief: Report
The current chief's contract is set to expire next month.
NAUGATUCK, CT — Police Chief Christopher Edson's last day on the job is March 31 and local officials are hoping to find his successor from within the department, the Republican-American reports.
Three people have applied and interviews are being set up. Officials say several in-house qualified candidates deserve the chance for promotion. Whoever is hired must live within an 8-mile radius of the police station, the Rep-Am reports.
