Teachers stayed socially distant as they met in the parking lot of Naugatuck High School at 1:30pm and left the lot at 2:00pm with a Naugatuck Police escort. Superintendent Christopher Montini gave his permission to use the NHS parking lot as the start and end point.

The Connecticut Education Association initiated Car Caravans for local unions around the state to bring attention to opening school buildings safely in their Districts. NTL President George Macary reached out to union members to take part of the caravan on Thursday; some members from other locals also attended. "This is an easy way to demonstrate to the community your concern for the safe reopening of our schools," said Mr. Macary. Teachers were able to pick up the RED FOR ED t-shirts that were provided by the NTL for members and many wore them with their masks for the car caravan.
