Naugatuck Woman Killed in Crash in Waterbury

Waterbury police say the woman may have run a red light.

A Naugatuck woman, Janet Komacki, 48, was killed in a car crash in Waterbury late Wednesday, the Republican-American reports.

Her Ford Taurus collided with a Kia, driven by Jony Fernandez, 25, of Naugatuck, and her car ended up in a snow bank on South Main Street, the Rep-Am reports.

Waterbury police said they believe Komacki ran a red light which contributed to the accident, the Republican-American reports.
