Naugatuck Woman Left Kids in Car While Shoplifting at Walmart: Police
Police say they responded to a report of youths left alone in a car.

NAUGATUCK, CT — A Naugatuck woman is accused of leaving children inside a vehicle while she tried to shoplift from Walmart, police said.
Police said at 4:38 p.m. on Dec. 20 officers responded to Walmart for juveniles left alone in a vehicle.
Jennifer Sprague, 32, of Terrace Avenue, was found inside Walmart and during the police investigation it was determined that she was involved in a larceny, police said.

She selected items in the store and tried to fraudulently return them, police said.
She was charged with risk of injury to a child, leaving child under the age of 12 unsupervised, second-degree reckless endangerment, and sixth-degree larceny.

Sprague was given a $10,000 bond.
