Naugatuck Woman Possesses Counterfeit $100 Bills: Police
Police say the accused was released after posting a $10,000 bond.
NAUGATUCK, CT β A New Haven Road woman, Robin Brand, 51, is accused of possessing counterfeit bills and was released on a $10,000 bond, police say.
At 4:25 p.m. on Dec. 9, police responded to the parking lot located at 727 Rubber Avenue on a report of motor vehicle accident. Upon further investigation, officers found that the accused kept interfering with the investigation by changing her story as to what occurred, police said.
Brand was in possession of several counterfeit $100 bills and in possession of a controlled substance with drug paraphernalia, police said. The accused also failed to carry valid insurance on the rental vehicle, police said.

She is charged with possession of a controlled substance, first-degree forgery, and interfering with an officer.
