Naugy Pride U11 Boys win again

The Naugatuck Pride U11 Boys soccer team defeated Branford 2-1 on Friday night to move into 2nd place in the B Division of the South Central District. Naugy went down early in the first half on a goal by Branford and trailed 1-0 at the half. The boys controlled the first half but a slip up gave Branford the lead. In the second half, Jay Barth tied the score about 4 minutes into the second half. Close to halfway through the second half, Stephen Alziphat scored the game winner to give Naugy the 2-1 win. Ryan Kiely and Chad Mahler along with Jay Barth held the defense down for Naugy and Ryan Galiette played well in goal. The win moves Naugy's overall record to 5 wins, 2 ties and 3 losses.

Naugy travels to West Haven on Saturday with hopes of continuing its great play at 2pm at Duffy Fields.
