Naugy Rolls Torrington on Senior Night

The Naugatuck High School boys' basketball team defeated rival Torrington 68-56 at home Wednesday before a large crowd on senior night.

Naugatuck, which finishes the regular season at 11-9, was lead by senior big man Brandon Kuczenski, who had 17 points and 19 rebounds.

Naugy, which went on a 15-0 run to end the third quarter, had all five starters on the floor at the end of the game, and they left to a standing ovation. The seniors, pictured, from back row left, Husani Foote, Kuczenski and Matt Bradley. In the front row, from left, are Jerome Love and Mick Pernell. 

Foote had 24 points, while Pernell had 16.

The Greyhounds have won three in a row, including wins over two of the top three teams in the league, Kennedy and Wilby. They are the number eight seed in the upcoming Naugatuck Valley League tournament.
