New Contract Approved For Some Naugatuck School Employees
The new four-year contract includes raises for each of the four years.

NAUGATUCK, CT — The Board of Education and employees in unions representing custodians, electricians, secretaries and para-educators have reached agreement on a four-year contract, which will end up costing taxpayers an additional $569,214 over the lifetime of the deal, My Citizen's News reports.
Raises are 2 percent, 2.5 percent and 2.25 percent in the third and fourth years. Union members made some additional concessions on health care costs. Paraprofessionals will also receive an additional $.50 cents per hour this year and $.30 cents per hour next year, My Citizen's News reports.
