New Principal Appointed At Naugatuck Elementary School
Naugatuck Public Schools has announced Meagan Rolla as the next principal of Andrew Avenue Elementary School.

NAUGATUCK, CT — Naugatuck Public Schools has announced Meagan Rolla as the next principal of Andrew Avenue Elementary School.
According to a news release provided by the school district, Rolla brings a wealth of experience in education and a proven track record of success, as well as a dynamic and innovative approach to school leadership, to he new role.

District officials said her dedication to student wellbeing, family engagement and community partnerships makes her an excellent fit for the Naugatuck school community.
Rolla will replace Lisa Lachance, who has taken the position of principal at City Hill Middle School. Lachance is replacing Eileen Mezzo, who is now serving as associate principal at Naugatuck High School, according to the district.

"As our new principal, Ms. Rolla will bring her considerable expertise and enthusiasm to Andrew Avenue Elementary School," the news release reads. "With her leadership, we are confident that she will foster a supportive and inclusive environment, empowering our students to achieve their full potential."
Rolla previously served as director of the Early Childhood Center at Central Avenue, where she faced the challenges of reopening a school during the COVID-19 crisis by leading with compassion and empathy, paired with an unwavering commitment to students and families, according to district officials.
Rolla said becoming a school counselor was her dream come true, as she enjoyed working with students with vastly different needs academically, socially and behaviorally.
"I quickly built relationships with families and became a source of support to my colleagues," Rolla said in a news release.
