NVCC Hosting Free Introduction to Manufacturing Workshop

NVCC will be hosting a free Introduction to Manufacturing Workshop for high school juniors and seniors this summer.

WATERBURY - Naugatuck Valley Community College (NVCC) is hosting a free Introduction to Manufacturing workshop this summer for high school juniors and seniors. Located on the college’s Waterbury Campus, the four-day workshop runs July 11 through July 14 from 9 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. each day in the Advanced Manufacturing Technology Center.

Workshop participants will learn what it is like to work in today’s manufacturing industry. Students will learn about the tools and machinery used in manufacturing shops, basic blueprint reading, and how to prepare themselves for jobs with local manufacturers.
