NVCC Hosts 2021 Annual Diversity in STEM Seminar
This November 3rd STEM educational event with Zackarie Lemelle is free and open to the public.

WATERBURY, Conn. βConsidering an education or career in STEM? Join us on Wednesday, November 3rd when NVCC hosts their Annual Diversity in STEM Seminar. Zackarie Lemelle, President & CEO of New Hope Coaching & Consulting, will speak to students about his professional experiences during his 31 years in IT, his five years in HR, and his present work as a business owner and Executive Leadership Coach. He will also share his efforts to support the next generation of STEM professionals, and the adversities he has overcome to become a well-respected STEM professional. The seminar will be held via WebEx starting at 1 pm, November 3.
The seminar is the fourth in what has become an annual forum for respected STEM (Science, Technology, Mathematics, Engineering) professionals to share their careers, perspectives, and experiences about the personal and intellectual journeys they have undertaken to get where they are today. NVCC students and local high school students are encouraged to attend to learn more about STEM career paths. The public is also invited to register for the free event by joining the WebEx below or emailing nvision@nv.edu.

Mr. Zacharie Lemelle is the current CEO/President of New Hope Coaching & Consulting, a firm dedicated to transforming leaders and organizations from the inside out. Mr. Lemelle is also a certified executive leadership coach and has 31 years of IT as well as five years of human resource experience leading large-scale transformations. He spent 20 years at Johnson & Johnson and has a wealth of expertise where he served as the Chief Information Officer in their pharmaceutical, then medical device, and finally at corporate headquarters divisions. He also was the co-founder of several affinity groups at J&J. Mr. Lemelle currently serves as the Chair of the Global Leadership Forum (STEM) and the past Chair of the Information Technology Senior Management Forum (CIOβs from across the US). Heβs an owner and board member of the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC)
Mr. Lemelle is a certified executive coach (ICF) as well as a certified business reengineer and holds an Associate Degree from Orange Coast Community College
Mr. Lemelle has led global transformations across multiple disciplines, including supply chain, sales, marketing, R&D, HR, IT, Finance, and Clinical.
