NVCC Hosts Series of Virtual Financial Aid Workshops
Naugatuck Valley Community College will host a series of virtual financial aid workshops.
WATERBURY, CT - The Financial Aid Team at NVCC is hosting a series of informational workshops for students who need help filling out the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid).
According to Cathy Hardy, Director of Financial Aid, all workshops will be held virtually. Students will learn to complete and submit their 2020-2021 FAFSA to facilitate their registration and financial aid for spring 2021. They may also get help with their 2021-2022 FAFSA for the upcoming fall 21 and spring 22 semesters.
Sessions will begin and end promptly at the times listed below. Students and parents should plan to attend a session for a minimum of one hour.

Students must be prepared for the workshop with the following requirements:
- FSA ID for student and/or parent MUST be obtained prior to workshop by going to https://fsaid.ed.gov
- Students MUST come prepared with FSA ID’s for both student and/or parent and ALL tax information in order for the FAFSA to be completed AND submitted on this day for Fall 2020/Spring 2021
- 2018 federal tax return for parent and/or student
- 2018 W2’s for parent and/or student
- Green card (if you are an eligible non-citizen)
- Child support received in 2018
- Workmen’s compensation amount in 2018
Students who wish to complete the 2021-2022 FAFSA to prepare for next fall and spring registration must come prepared with 2019 federal tax return information for both parent and/or student.
