NVCC’s Music and Theater Departments Present Revue Showcase

There will be two performances - Thursday the 18th and Friday the 19th at 7:30 pm.

WATERBURY- The NVCC music and theater departments are collaborating to produce their revue showcase. There will be two performances: November 18 and 19 at 7:30 PM in the mainstage theater on the Waterbury campus of NVCC. This semester, theater and music students will be featuring songs from classic Broadway shows including First Date and Wicked. For those who cannot be there in person, the performance will be streaming live on Thursday the 18th via YouTube on the NVCC Theater Tech channel: https://www.youtube.com/channe...

Professor of Music, Gil Harel noted, “This is a showcase that will certainly leave you feeling (as the iconic Wicked song goes) "changed for the better" and we hope to see you there. I'm really thrilled for the students - they've been working so hard. Some of our recent rehearsals have stretched 5 or 6 hours - even longer for some. This isn't particularly unusual in theater, but the strain of extra rehearsals that require hours of singing, dancing and moving - all while wearing masks - is substantial. At any rate, it's going to be a sensational show. Perhaps the most exciting thing about it is that we'll be welcoming back a live general audience for the first time since October 2018 when Little Shop of Horrors was performed.

I'm hoping that many people turn up to enjoy what promises to be a memorable evening. We have two performances - Thursday the 18th and Friday the 19th at 7:30 pm.”
