Mr. Allan F. DiFronzo, 72 of Waterbury, passed away unexpectedly shortly after arrival at Waterbury Hospital on Tuesday, November 15, 2022.

Allan was born in Waterbury on October 8, 1950, son of the late John and Mary E. (LaPorta) DiFronzo. He was a graduate of Kennedy High School’s class of 1968, and received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Central Connecticut State University. He was an Auditor for Naugatuck Savings Bank for several years until he followed his dream as an artist and painter and opened Allan’s Gallery in Waterbury. After closing the gallery, he taught art classes out of his home until his retirement. Allan was an avid baseball fan with his favorite team being the New York Yankees. He also enjoyed collecting, trading and selling baseball cards.


Allan is survived by; his brothers, David DiFronzo and his wife Susan of Plantsville, and John DiFronzo and his wife Gail of Monroe; his niece and nephews, Darren DiFronzo and Marilyn Ramos of Springfield, MA, Neysa Bakewell and her husband Marc of Stratford, Jason DiFronzo and his wife Jennifer of Southington, and Derek DiFronzo and his wife Cathy of Plantsville; and his great nieces and nephew; Bella DiFronzo, Adriana DiFronzo, Sofia DiFronzo, and Caleb Bakewell.

Arrangements: A celebration of life will be held for Allan at a place, date, and time to be announced.Brookside Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 200 Benson Road, Middlebury has been entrusted with the arrangements.
