Obituary: Ann Louise Trombley, 80, of Middlebury

Ann graduated from Southern Connecticut State University and she was a teacher in the Naugatuck School System for 31 years.

Middlebury, CT - Ann Louise Trombley, 80, widow of Carl L. Trombley, whom she was married to for 52 years, died January 2, 2023 at her home. Ann was born October 31, 1942 in Lakewood, NJ, daughter of the late Edmund and Viola Bernardiener.

Ann was raised in Lakewood, NJ where she graduated from Lakewood High School. Ann graduated from Southern Connecticut State University and she was a teacher in the Naugatuck School System for 31 years, retiring in 2009.Ann was a talented seamstress, who enjoyed participating in her monthly bookclub, as well as taking trips to the casino, playing cards and spending time with family and friends.

Ann is survived by her daughters, Carla Trombley of Naugatuck, CT, Jennifer Clough and her husband, David Clough of Newbury, MA and Kristi Alcorace of Waterbury, CT; Patrick Alcorace of Naugatuck, CT; her grandchildren, Jacob Alcorace, Amelia Alcorace and Zachary Clough; her sister, Barbara Barre ofArkansas; her brother, Edmund Bernardiener and his wife, Saundra of Georgia.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at10:00am at St. John of the Cross Church, 1263 West Street, Middlebury, CT. Everyone attending is asked to please meet directly at church. Burial will be at a later date.

Calling hours are Monday, January 16, 2023 from 3:00 to 5:00pm at the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck, CT.
