WATERBURY - Antoinette Izzi, 87, of Waterbury, entered into the gates of heaven on Tuesday, Septmeber 13, 2022, at Waterbury Hospital.
Anoinette was born in Waterbury on August 5, 1935, daughter to the late Giovanni “John” and Filomena (Emanuele) Izzi. Antoinette was a graduate of Waterbury Catholic High School and then worked for Colonial Bank & Trust for 32 years until her retirement, and then worked for the Silas Bronson Library in Waterbury for 16 years. She was a proud member of the Cercemaggiore Community Club, was a member of their Woman’s Auxillary, and loved volunteering every year at their annual feast. Being a town plot resident, Antoinette was also an active parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church and was a member of their Forever Young group.

Anoinette leaves behind to cherish her memory her sister, Mary Santucci of Waterbury, her four nephews, James Santucci of Watertown, Dr. John Izzi of Paris, France, Daniel Izzi of Waterbury and Nancy Pepin of Watertown, and Gary Santucci and Dr. Ania Jovanovic of Avon. She also leaves behind her grand nieces and nephews, Daniel J. Izzi and his wife Jodi, and their children, Nathan, Brianna, and Tyler, Ryan P. Izzi and his wife Melissa and their children, Malia, and Brody, Kaitlin E. Izzi, Michael Santucci and his wife Jessica and their children, Brayden & Bria, Matthew Santucci, Christopher Calabrese, Nicholas Calabrese and his wife Erin and their son, Vincent, and Matthew Calabrese. She was predeceased by her siblings, Angelo Izzi and Christine Esposito, and her niece, Gina Calabrese.
Arrangements: A funeral will be held on Friday, September 16, 2022, 8:45 a.m. at Chase Parkway Memorial, the Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Waterbury. Calling hours will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home Thursday evening.
