WOLCOTT, CT - Mrs. Antoinette “Toni” (D’Amico) Capobianco, 96, passed away peacefully at her home with her family by her side on Wednesday, March 17, 2021. She was the loving wife of the late Pasquale Capobianco who passed away in 1993.

Toni was born in Waterbury on July 3, 1924, a daughter of the late Michael and Angeline (Augelli) D’Amico. She worked for the Uniroyal Chemical Company in Naugatuck for over 39 years before retiring from the former Howland Hughes Department Store in Waterbury, where she was known as the “elevator lady.” She was an excellent Italian cook and was known for her Chig-a-dails (Cavatelli), homemade raviolis, Italian cookies and her Easter rice pies. She enjoyed playing bingo, sitting at the slot machines at the casinos, doing her Word Search Puzzles and spending time with her Laurel Ridge and Chestnut Hill family, but truly loved the time spent with her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
