He graduated from W. F. Kaynor Technical High School Class of 1988, worked as a paramedic for Danbury Ambulance for thirty years.

“Beloved husband, father, son, & brother”

Antonio DeSimone, 52, of Watertown, entered into the gates of heaven on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with colon cancer. He was the loving husband of Tara (Slivinski) DeSimone of 17 years.

Antonio was born in Waterbury, on April 13, 1970, son of Angelo and Anna (D’Amelio) DeSimone. He graduated from W. F. Kaynor Technical High School Class of 1988. He worked as a paramedic for Danbury Ambulance for thirty years. He was an avid New York Giants and Islander fan. His favorite hockey player was his son, Santino and Gabby will always be his little girl. He enjoyed gardening, drinking expresso, fishing, hunting and his daily walks with his dog Thunder. He was loved by all who knew him and he treated everyone like family.
Besides his beloved wife Tara of Watertown, Tony leaves behind to honor and cherish his memory; his two children, Santino DeSimone and Gabriella DeSimone, both of Watertown; his siblings, Nina DeSimone of Watertown, Phyllis Guerrera and her husband Jason of Oakville and Angelo DeSimone, Jr. of Watertown; seven nieces and nephews, Alex Santana, Gia DeSimone, Primo Collela, Olivia and Jason Guerrera, Bruno Collela and Angelo DeSimone, III; his God children, Bobby Capone, Gia DeSimone, Francis Berardi, and Avery Merithew; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Arrangements: A funeral will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2023, 8:45 a.m.at Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, to the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Cremation will follow. Calling hours will be held Friday, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
