Wolcott, CT - Barbara A. Stone, 82, of Wolcott, passed away peacefully after a long battle with pancreatic cancer on Monday, September 28, 2020 at her home in Wolcott.

Barbara was born in Danbury, CT on August 5, 1938, daughter of the late David and Helen (Rant) Stone. Before her retirement, she taught math and science in the Waterbury and Meriden School Systems until 1990. She was a violin teacher and also played violin in the Hartford Symphony for several years. She was a cat lover and an avid reader.
Barbara leaves behind her children, Stephen Pepin of Cheshire, CT, Daniel Pepin of Wolcott, CT and Traci Marando of Madison, CT. She also leaves behind six grandchildren, Aubri Barone, Leo Pepin, Melissa Pepin, Lindsay Penev, Ryan Thorp and Andrew Thorp, Jr. and one great grandchild, Kristian Penev. Barbara was predeceased by her daughter, Laura Thorp of Waterbury.
