Carol E. Doody, 75, of Naugatuck, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2024 surrounded by family. Carol was born on December 11, 1949, in Waterbury, CT to the late Noble and Ann Austin.
Carol resided in Naugatuck for all of her life where she enjoyed the community and worked in the Tax Assessors office prior to retirement. Carol loved chatting with neighbors, enjoyed lunch with friends, time with her family, and collecting antiques and researching genealogy with a particular interest in her Lithuanian heritage. She was skilled at finding a treasure and learning the story behind it, whether it was a collectible or piece of family history. Carol could light up a room with her sense of humor and smile and her grandsons brought so much joy to her life.
She leaves behind two daughters, Michelle Reardon and Rachel Doody, and two grandchildren Michael Reardon and Nicholas Sandore as well as her two siblings Ned Austin & Nancy Spring. She was predeceased by her parents Noble and Ann Austin.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Thursday, January 2, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home, 201 Meadow St., Naugatuck, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12 p.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church St., Naugatuck, CT. Burial will be private.
