“Loving wife, mother, daughter & sister”

PROSPECT, CT - She especially enjoyed cross-stitching and had received a number of 1st Place awards for her work., passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Peter J. Mulholland.


Carolyn was born on October 1, 1961 in Bronx, NY, a daughter of Jeanne (Mare) Gesselli and the late Eugene Gesselli. She dedicated her life to her family. Carolyn was an avid artist and participated in a number of endeavors. She especially enjoyed cross-stitching and had received a number of 1st Place awards for her work. Her talent allowed her to develop friendships through her frequent retreats with other artist.

Besides her husband, Peter, of 37 years and mother, Jeanne of Prospect, CT, Carolyn is survived by her sons, Peter E. Mulholland and his wife, Raghdaa of Brooklyn, NY, Patrick A. Mulholland of Prospect, CT, brothers, Anthony Gesselli of Mahopac, NY, Robert Gesselli of Carmel, NY, sister, Denise Yap of Peekskill, NY as well as many nieces and nephews.


Arrangements: Carolyn’s funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, CT. Entombment will follow at the Rose Hills Memorial Park in Putnam Valley, NY. Calling hours will be held Tuesday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
